I visited this restaurant as part of the DineLA event. The restaurant had a nice ambiance, and the service was excellent. The bartender was knowledgeable and made great old-fashioned espresso drinks. The DineLA menu offered a wide selection of items, allowing us to try various dishes. Although the portions were small, the meal was filling, similar to an eight-course tasting menu. The standout dishes were the bread we ordered from the regular menu and the Chilean Sea Bass, which was incredibly flavorful. For dessert, we enjoyed the delicious peach cobbler. While some dishes, like the Chilean Sea Bass, were outstanding, others, like the cabbage appetizer, didn't quite hit the mark for me. Nonetheless, I appreciated their quality and the charcoal cooking style.

No photos this time unfortunately but WOW charcoal has upped there game. Each bite was beyond delicious and the service was incredible. The lamb ribs are amazing, the duck is perfectly cooked, juicy and fatty. The shishito peppers, summer squash and artichoke are insane. 10/10. And love the casual yet fun ambiance

Went there for a birthday dinner and loved it! The food was so delicious. The bread is a must - it was warm and the butter hit the spot. We got the steak, potatoes and broccoli. Would get everything again!

Wow.. How lucky were we to snag a spot at the Bar for Happy Hour. I had the smoke on the water which was an incredible bourbon treat. My partner ate the oysters that were to die for. But the Cabbage toast which sounds pedestrian was an incredible explosion of pleasurable flavors. And the Prawns were perfectly prepared and plated. But just when you don't think it can be better the chicken wings which are a wonderful combination of smokey and dipped in the vinegar alongside are indescribably wonderful. Also the lamb ribs are amazing and I am sure I left something out. Truly an unforgettably experience!

The food here is exceptional! Their standout dish is the Cabbage cooked in the embers--who knew cabbage could be such a star? The Steak frites were flawless, with some of the best fries I've ever had. The roasted veggies, mushrooms, and Tagliatelle Pasta were all outstanding. Now, let's discuss the cocktails... Eric, the mixologist (definitely more than just a bartender), crafted some incredible drinks for us. The Lost in the Supermarket, featuring tequila, cucumber, pineapple, epazote, and a splash of mezcal, was especially refreshing! The Midnight margarita was also really good. Happy hour is always a blast here, offering a great opportunity to sample smaller portions from the menu.

This time for the first time we had our late lunch at the patio. The weather was lovely and we had a corner more quiet table. The service was exceptional. The wine choices are great. The duck and the freshest salad were excellently prepared - as always.

Wow! This place was great all around! Everything we tried was amazing. I think my favorites were the tuna tartare and the sirloin, but everything else was great as well. We also had the shishito peppers, the baked potato and the Brussel sprouts. I also really enjoyed the two mezcal cocktails that I tried. The service was also great - super attentive and quick! If my drink was running low, another server would step in and make sure to take my order for another. Overall will definitely come back to try more!

Ommmg Charcoal was AMAZING! I came here during DineLA with a girlfriend and everything we ate was delicious! We got there before our reservation so we sat at the communal table for happy hour and ordered a couple Old Fashions. I was hungry so I also got the salmon skewer. I believe everything on the DineLA menu is normally not on the regular menu? I could be totally wrong. But anyhow I can't wait to come back! Highly recommend a reservation and going right when they open so you can catch happy hour. Ambiance was mood-lighting, playing the R&B hits, and service was on pointe.

OMG the best meal I've had since we visited Manchego several months back. There wasn't an off note the entire service. Run, don't walk! The roasted wild mushrooms - parsley, fermented garlic dressing, breadcrumbs ,- were a tantalizing mix of textures and bracing flavor; a great way to begin. The houses signature cabbage "baked in the embers" - yogurt, sumac, lemon zest - put a spoon on an ages-old ingredient. The novelty had us chuckling with every bite. Coming 2 to an order, rather than the advertised 4, the smoked lamb ribs were more tender than I knew one could coax from the animal. Dismayingly impressive cookery. Also tender beyond belief, the 16 oz. Durham Ranch Bison Ribeye - coffee rub - was perfect when delivered and merely excellent as it cooled. Any preconceptions about bison brewing lean and dry are to be tossed away. Unavailable sadly was the 21-day aged half Liberty duck - honey, coriander - (due to some shenanigans in Sonoma). This was the first I came for, so I've got something to look forward to. Finishing up with a dessert of chocolate & peanut butter crunch cake - Mcconnell's double peanut butter chip ice cream - was a win for both the unexpected textures and deep chocolate flavor. Coffee, often marginal at even the best places, was lovingly attended to here. General manager Nadia Bohr runs a smooth shop, with a knowledgeable, friendly, and fun front-of-house. This was a fabulous first meal, staying from LAX, and I'm pretty sure we've started a tradition! Staff
